From October 4 to 7, 2022 the third joint conference between COFE and FORMEC took place in Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America hosted by the Oregon State University. 121 contributions as oral presentations (105) and posters (16) from 20 different countries all over the world were scheduled for this very unique in-person and online event.
As if this weren't enough, additional student flash talks, a panel discussion, and a session dedicated to education diversified to the comprehensive program of talks. For the very first time, the FORMEC conference left its roots behind and joined the COFE community on another continent. Thanks to the high number of talks, four parallel technical session took place. To allow online participation and to review talks after the event, all sessions were streamed and recorded. After two days of intense program and discussions, the event ended with a field trip in the surroundings of Corvallis to see Forest and Harvest Management in action.
“One Big Family – Shaping Our Future Together” brought together more than 150 enthusiasts in the field of Forest Engineering from different continents to foster knowledge exchange across the globe. We thank all contributors and attendees for making this conference unique amongst the history of past conferences!
